Location in Glen Feshie, The heart of the Cairngorm National Park
Location

With the backdrop of Craig Mhigeachaidh (the whispering mountain), in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, Caledonian Pinewoods sheltering the house from the north and Glen Feshie stretching far to the south, its a truly unique location. The house is surrounded by spectacular scenery, wildlife, and birds with daily visits from red squirrels, woodpeckers and the occasional pine marten. Unusual native pine forest birds including crested tits and crossbills also visit the garden. Behind the house the rare habitat of bog woodland has been reinstated, attracting dragonflies and the attention of the RSPB, Forestry Commission and SNH, to become Invereshie and Inshriach National Nature Reserve (September 2007).
